Molina Consulting facilitators have over 20 years of experience in training and facilitation with multiple areas of expertise. Training led by Molina Consulting is dynamic, engaging, meaningful, practical--and fun! Participants will engage with diverse modalities of learning, build community and connection with one another, and leave with concrete tools and strategies that are immediately applicable to their work.

Michael Molina, Founder

Michael Molina is an internationally acclaimed poet, writer, spoken word artist, speaker, and educator. Mike serves as Head of School at the Bishop John T. Walker School for Boys, a school of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington, DC. Formerly, Mike served as the founding director of the Finney-Greene program, a wrap-around student support program for boys from underrepresented communities at Gilman School, a pre-Kindergarten through twelfth grade independent school in Baltimore, Maryland. Mike also served on Gilman’s k-12 Academic Council, Enrollment and Admissions teams, and as a member of its Community, Inclusion, and Equity Executive Council, and he has gained a broad spectrum of experience in independent school leadership. With over a decade of experience in education and youth development in public, charter, and independent sectors, Mike has found success in cultivating community partnerships to support programming, building excellent educational programs, creating synergy across stakeholders in youth success, and supporting faculty in their professional excellence. Mike holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and a B.A. in English from Xavier University of Louisiana. After law school, Mike advocated for state-wide investment in youth development in California and then won a competitive fellowship to design a program supporting youth and their families who were displaced from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Mike has helped launch a bilingual immersion charter school and directed educational programs for refugee students and families. His wide-ranging, purpose-driven professional experience gives Mike a keen eye for recognizing the power and potential of every child, adult, and community he has worked with. Mike is also a gifted spoken word poet and writer and lives in Baltimore with his wife, Jessy, and their two children.

Jessy Molina, Founder

Jessy Molina is a nationally recognized trainer and facilitator on issues of diversity, equity, and social justice. Most recently, Jessy Molina served as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Social Justice at Friends School of Baltimore. She has supported people to connect with one another and make social change through her work with the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights in San Francisco, the John Gardner Center for Youth and Their Communities at Stanford, Quality Education as a Constitutional Right, and Welcoming America. Prior to working at Friends, Jessy served as the Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Garrison Forest School. An experienced facilitator, Jessy has trained thousands of people at nonprofits, companies, law firms, schools, colleges and universities, and other institutions to recognize and dismantle bias, develop the language and courage to discuss race, create equitable policies and practices, explore the intersections of race, gender, class, sexuality, gender identity, religion, culture and more, and begin building a more just world. Jessy has also developed a model of facilitated dialogue that builds understanding and connection between people and communities who are divided by tension, conflict, and misunderstanding. She has facilitated meaningful dialogue in communities across the country on race and racism, immigration, the criminal justice system, public and private education, policing, ethics and values, and more. Jessy also trains others to facilitate courageous conversations and equity seminars in their communities and serves as a mentor for trainers and facilitators in the Baltimore/Washington D.C region. Jessy graduated from Harvard College and Yale Law School and lives in Baltimore with her husband, Michael, and two children.

Alpana Chhibber, Lead Facilitator

Alpana Chhibber currently serves as a Lead Facilitator and Trainer for Molina Consulting (molina consulting.org). Prior to her role as a DEIB facilitator, she served as the Middle School Dean of Students at the Park School of Baltimore. In her role as Dean, Alpana brought student self-advocacy to the forefront by empowering her Student Government to make real change for middle schoolers; created sustainable processes for the Affinity, Allyship, and Advocacy program; re-envisioned Orientation to include more student voice and choice; and most importantly she brought systemic change to the way discipline is handled in the middle school. Through the use of Restorative Processes, Alpana brought the middle school community together to build authentic bonds with one another. Alpana has received counseling and facilitator training from the Stanley King Institute, Kingswood Oxford Leadership Institute for Educators of Color, and Facilitating for Racial Justice. She has successfully facilitated meaningful conversations around Implicit Bias, Culturally Responsive Teaching, and Microaggressions for faculty and students. Prior to working at Park, Alpana was at Garrison Forest School, where she was a Dorm Parent, taught Upper School World History, Public Health and Modern Middle East; served as the divisional Diversity Leadership Council Representative; advised the Student Diversity Leadership Council, and facilitated the International Students Affinity Group. Alpana received her Bachelor's degree from the York College of Pennsylvania, and her Masters Degrees in Global Studies and Teaching from SUNY Albany and Union Graduate College, respectively.
